Celebrate #NationalPoetryMonth with Angela Davis' "Living Antique"

Living Antique

My hands are not what they once were.
Form that use to be elegant, long and tapered –
now corpulent, rumpled and swollen.
Old tissue paper, textured and patterned
to resemble hounds tooth or fishbone.
 Once youthful,           mine –

Now the hands of my Grandmother

Angela Davis was born and raised in Michigan, joined the Air Force at age 18 and relocated to Dover AFB, DE.  She completed twelve years active duty and eight years reserve. Davis is now retired and works in civil service.  She is happily married and has two daughters.  She loves reading, history, and watching Marvel, DC and Jane Austen movies – a perfect assortment of action and romance. .
